About Me:
I’m Charlotte, an Adelaide-based oil painter drawn to the quiet poetry of landscapes. My work combines the time-honoured techniques of the Old Masters with a subtle modern sensibility — a balance between tradition and contemporary expression.
Each painting begins with exploration. I visit and study every location I paint, seeking to capture more than just its appearance — I aim to convey its atmosphere, emotion, and story. My process is slow and deliberate, allowing space for observation, reflection, and connection.
My practice has been showcased in several exhibitions, including The Language of Flowers (SALA 2025, The Rundle Collective), Catalyst (Adelaide Fringe 2025, Goodwood Theatre and Studios), and Art That Walks Off the Walls (Adelaide Fringe 2024, Goodwood Theatre and Studios).
I hold a Bachelor of Creative Arts (Visual Arts) from TAFE SA and Flinders University (2024), where I deepened my understanding of classical techniques and developed my own visual language. I am additionally a gallery guide at The Art Gallery OF South Australia. Being involved with the art community is so important to me, helping to inspire others.
Rooted in tradition but inspired by the world around me, I strive to create paintings that evoke a sense of place, time, and emotion — timeless reflections of the landscapes that shape us.
